The Life and Death of The Human Soul of Design
* About the Book: Will designers still have a career? Is design still worth studying? These are the questions practitioners, students and parents are asking with growing urgency as artificial intelligence reshapes creative work. Drawing on 28 years of practice, Pann Lim sets out to answer them, not with reassurance but with evidence. This book names the qualities that make creative work human and shows why a machine cannot hold them. This is not an argument against A.I. It is about what stays human when the tools change.
* About the Publisher / Designer: Pann Lim is Co-Founder and Creative Director of Kinetic Singapore, with nearly three decades of award-winning work across design and advertising, including four President's Design Awards and a D&AD Yellow Pencil. While pursuing his MA at LASALLE College of the Arts, University of the Arts Singapore, he developed the Eleven Dimensions of the Human Soul of Design, a framework defining what remains irreplaceably human in creative practice in the age of A.I. He is also the co-founder of HolyCrap, a family art collective whose Rubbish Famzine, issues 1 to 12, is held in the permanent collection of the Singapore Art Museum.
